Sonnie is a supporting character in Part 2 onwards. She is the first character to be transformed into a ink creature during Jake's time in the studio he meets.
Appearance[]
Roughly the third shortest character in the series, Sonnie is depicted as another variation from Samantha with the exception of no halo. She seems to be shorter than Kate, despite being older than her. When human, Sonnie is seen with burnette hair and a beauty mark on the side of her cheek. She is also taller than her ink variant. Later in the series, she loses her arm from Ink Max and gets it replaced with a cybernetic limb.
Personality[]
Unlike her friends and allies, Sonnie is much more optomistic and shy than Kate or Mike. She does have something of courage as evident when she tries to become friends with Ink Max in Part 2. She does appear to be traumatized by her reincarnation.
Trivia[]
- Sonnie is currently the only character to have her death/transformation on-screen. Mike and Kate's were originally meant to as well until it was scrapped.
- Sonnie is RaRaDelilah's favorite character alongside Ink Max.
- Strangely, almost all the characters pronounce Sonnie as "Sunny" rather than "So-knee". The reason for this is currently unknown. Yet, Charmer has stated it's became a running gag in the series where someone mispronounces her name.
- In the earliest concepts for her character, Sonnie was much braver than she currently is.
- Sonnie lives her life by Matthew 4:55 from The Bible, which says: "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you", which makes her religious to an extent.
- Despite fans claiming she's innocent, Charmer has stated that Sonnie was worse when she was 14, as he states she threw parties, drank, and snuck out past dark. She then cleaned up her act a couple months after these horrendous acts and became a nicer person.
